In 2016, I caught the surfing bug in New Zealand.
And as it sometimes happens: You sit in the line-up for hours, waiting for the perfect wave – and have plenty of time to think.
Every now and then a piece of plastic floats past you.
Once it was so extreme that with every paddle stroke, I had a new piece of trash in my hand. That was a moment that will stay with me forever.
Yet we live for exactly the opposite:
