Team Germany - behind the scenes

We attach great importance to good Working conditions . Our workers from Bali are Full-time employed and have a 30h week . The pay is about 20% higher than is usual for this type of job in Indonesia. The plastic is collected in coastal areas. We're currently saving up for a boat so we can continue collecting plastic from the open ocean waters in the future. The guys are incredibly proud to be part of Oceanmata, and it shows.
Until recently, we have collected plastic given to an external service provider to recycle and reprocess With our new Recycling site We have invested in our own shredding machine and are also building our own washing line to separate, clean, and finally shred ocean plastic.
